About this desk
I am Bryan Calabro. I build a small portfolio of single-purpose tools, and one desk per discipline documents how each part of that work is done. This is the product desk.
What this desk is
A decision log. The problem, what got cut, the bets, and the metrics, written as decisions rather than as a plan.
What it is not
A roadmap. There are no quarters on this site, no themes, no swimlanes, and no dates attached to work nobody has committed to. Roadmap theatre is easy to produce and impossible to be wrong about, which is exactly what makes it worthless as a record.
How it is written
- First person, because someone made these calls.
- Every entry is dated.
- Decisions are visible, including the unfinished ones. Half this desk is currently pages that say what they are waiting on. That is the honest state of it.
- Every factual claim traces to a line in the fact ledger. Where a page would need a line that is still open, it names the line and stops rather than writing around the gap.

The vendors behind it
Since this desk is about what is actually true rather than what sounds good, the operational facts:

Hosting is Vercel. It serves the calabrodesign site build; vercel.json sets the SPA rewrite and the output directory. Data held: static build output and analytics events (see V-4).

The AI provider is Anthropic, via Claude Code. It is used to build, audit and draft across every first-party repo. Data passed in: repo source and app-inventory sheet content.

The design of this desk
This desk sits outside the ten-family system the apps use and carries its own palette and type pair: warm paper and oxblood, Fraunces over Inter. A decision log should read like something written by hand and kept, rather than like a dashboard.
Both themes are held to 4.5:1 by the same contrast check every app runs.
